Those making their own way to Manchester, will find the following information useful.
All Saints Park is located on Oxford Road just south of Manchester University. It is easily accessible from Manchester Oxford Road train station.
Trains from the north generally go into Manchester Victoria Station, trains from the south to Manchester Piccadilly Station. Metrolink stations within both Victoria and Piccadilly Stations.
Trains from the west to Manchester Oxford Road via Deansgate, where there is an exit from platform 1 to a pedestrian bridge leading to a Metrolink station.
The National Express Coach Station is a few minutes walk from the centre of Manchester.
The Megabus arrives at Shudehill Interchange where there is also a Metrolink station. Take the Altrincham Metrolink into the centre.
Manchester has a busy and compact city centre. You are strongly advised to use the Metrolink Park and Ride carparks, and a tram to St Peters Square.
Anyone traveling up by car on Saturday is advised that Premier League football match (Man United vs Crystal Palace) is takinng place on Sat 30 Sep, 15:00 in Old Trafford, Stretford. This means that roads, trains and trams will be very busy 1.30 – 2.30 pm in and around Manchester and again when the game ends. Manchester, Salford and Trafford will all be very busy.
Parking for vehicles with passes
There is very limited space available in Sidney Street. This is assigned for production and essential vehicles only – most of which will be on site and then parking up with equipment nearby – it should not be used for the parking of people whose car is not essential and not known for security reasons.
Parking for vehicles without passes
All other vehicles should be instructed to park in the NCP Aquatics Centre Car park on Booth St East (located as per site plan) – or pay to be in parking bays on the surrounding streets.
Manchester Airport has Train and Metrolink connections to Manchester Piccadilly.
Liverpool John Lennon Airport, refurbished recently with the help of an EU grant, has shuttle buses to Liverpool South Parkway, and trains to Manchester Oxford Road via Deansgate.
Taxi drop off information
The best point for taxi drop off would be on Lower Ormond Street at the side of the park – best route to access would be off Higher Cambridge St in to Boundary St West.
If getting close not an issue for others then Booth St West and Booth St East are good drop off areas for taxis.
