The editors of “In Limbo: Brexit Testimonies from EU Citizens in the UK” have confirmed their participation at the rally being held prior to the #StopBrexit National March in Manchester on October 1st.
In Limbo is a not-for-profit anthology of personal accounts about the psychological and practical impact of Brexit on ordinary EU citizens in the UK. It gives voice to individuals from different EU countries who have built lives for themselves in the UK, but are now thrown into limbo by political events in which they are often treated as “barganing chips”.
Since its publication on Amazon International in June, the book has been highly praised and most prominent UK politicians, including Jeremy Corbyn, Theresa May and Vince Cable have received a copy.
Two of the book’s co-editors, Elena Remigi and Véronique Martin have kindly agreed to speak at the rally in Manchester.
Elena Remigi, an interpreter and translator from Milan, who lives near London, is the founder and director of the “Our Brexit Testimonies” project, out of which the book was conceived.
She is joined by her co-editor, Véronique Martin, a French author and academic, resident in the UK for almost 3 decades, who will speak on her personal experience in the company of her British husband, Miles Martin, a scientist and committed European to whom she has been married for 27 years.
Other confirmed speakers include Bonnie Greer, Alastair Campbell and A. C. Grayling as well as prominent local and national politicians.
